Our client in the NE Atlanta area is seeking a Senior Accountant for an On-Site Direct Hire position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the full-cycle accounting process for company-operated retail stores, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and inventory-related accounting.
- Lead accounting for a growing licensed/partner network, including royalty and fee calculations, agreement compliance, and reconciliations.
- Manage complex intercompany transactions across multiple legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations and eliminations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, manage month-end and year-end close tasks, and assist in preparation of internal financial reports.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on licensing and retail performance metrics.
- Analyze financial and operational KPIs tied to sales performance, margins, and partner revenue streams, identifying trends and key variances.
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls over intercompany accounting, partner agreements, and retail operations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation related to assigned areas.
- Drive process improvement and participate in system enhancement efforts to optimize accounting operations and reporting accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated experience in:
- Multi-entity and multi-location businesses.
- Intercompany accounting and eliminations.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.
